We fought and fought to make sure Tesco didn’t come to Bournville, and when it did we made sure it didn’t sell alcohol.

But most people who live near this part of Linden Road agree the Bournville Tesco Express store can be quite handy for milk runs and general amenities – open from 7.30am-10.30pm.

But over Christmas opening times change and it might be useful to know when the store is closed in case you need to pop out for some more supplies.

On Christmas Eve the store will close at the earlier time of 2200, and on Christmas Day the store will be closed for the day. The store will be open from 0800 until 2200 on Boxing Day then will go back to normal opening hours throughout the week. On New Year’s Eve the store will close again at 2200 and on New Year’s Day will be open from 0800-2200.

Not massive changes in opening hours – but the earlier closing time is useful to know to stop you nipping out for some forgotten item at quarter past ten. You can find out all the opening times on the Tesco website here.
