The proposed new route for this year’s Birmingham half-marathon will leave out key Bournville attractions with runners no longer getting views of The Green or The Carillon. Local councillors have expressed concern that the village is being bypassed and have pledged to change the route back.
Bournville was host to over 10,000 runners on Sunday as it formed part of the route for the Birmingham Half Marathon and the World Half Marathon.
