Bournville Lane baths plans under consideration

BIRMINGHAM City Council’s planning committee will consider plans for the development of the former Bournville Lane swimming baths on Thursday 21 March. The long-awaited conversion of the Grade II listed site into a new community centre is recommended for approval.

THE planned layout for the transformation of Bournville Lane baths in Stirchley into a community centre have gone on display. Below are some images from the plans which can be viewed until 19th March at Stirchley Community Centre on Pershore Road.

Selly Oak regeneration plans on display

PLANS for a new Sainsbury’s site in Selly Oak have been submitted to the City Council. The revised plans, which go on display this weekend, will see the revival of a branch of the Worcester and Birmingham Canal which will run through the new development.
