Bournville winner in Stratford Half Marathon

LOCAL running club Bournville Harriers managed to take first and second place in Sunday’s rain-soaked Stratford half marathon race.   Orlando Corea and Paul Thompson came first and second in 1:16:36 and 1:17:03 respectively.

Bournville Harriers’ Olympic Torchbearer

Local running club Bournville Harriers has had one of its members chosen to be a torchbearer for the 2012 Olympic torch relay. Runner Dan Bird wil carry the torch on Sunday 24th June.

Cadbury Athletic FC Reserves were confident that they can get three points from a team below them in the table. However, Droitwich Spa Reserves won the first fixture between those sides and managed to get the three points again.

Cadbury Football Club

          Our local football club, Cadbury Athletic FC have been in touch to remind us that they play 35 league games each season at the Cadbury Recreation Ground in Bournville Lane on a Sunday morning and would welcome new supporters.
