BOURNVILLE VIllage Trust are looking for project ideas that have the ‘vision’ to help transform our community. ‘Vision‘ is a scheme to offer local Bournville Village Trust communities the opportunity to bring to life ideas and activities that will help develop community spirit amongst residents.

The Friends of Cotteridge Park have let us know that after last week’s wash out, and with an improved weather forecast for this weekend, their willow weaving it has been rescheduled for Sunday 11 March 11am – 2pm(ish).

FORMER Bournville schoolgirl Felicity Jones is earning rave reviews in a new film with many claiming she’s now the hottest young movie star on the planet. ‘Like Crazy’ is out this week and critical attention has focused on the acting of the ex-Kings Norton Girls’ School pupil.

New investment for local parks

COUNCILLORS for Bournville are reporting that they have secured investment for local parks around the area to the tune of £250,000. The improvements to Bournville Park will see its tennis courts refurbished along with three new picnic tables, new benches and new litter bins.

You may not be familiar with Stirchley Park. But the small patch of grass behind the co-op on one side and Bond street on the other, is to be the subject of a series of discussions about its future.

Get Walking around Bournville

A series of walks have been published for our area as part of a project by the Ramblers’ Association called ‘Get Walking, Keep Walking‘. The walks go past many of Bournville’s landmarks including local parks, the Village Green, Cadbury factory and Selly Manor.
