The two hour workshop will cover the essential techniques needed to maximise the health benefits. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to take part in a varied programme of Social Nordic Walks.

Nordic walking is an ideal exercise for anyone who loves the outdoors, enjoys exercising with others or, who simply wants to get fit and tone up.

Just a few of its benefits are:
– 90% of your muscles are engaged,
– 46% more calories are burned compared to ordinary walking,
– Back and abdominal muscles are strengthened,
– Impact on joints is reduced.

Participants can be of any age or fitness level.

Poles will be provided for use during the workshop. The course will be led by a qualified International Nordic Walking Federation Instructor and will cost £36 per person.
