Kings Norton Girls’ School has received an Ofsted rating of ‘good’ after their recent inspection.
The Ofsted report, published on 23rd October, describes the school on Selly Oak Road as “good and sometimes outstanding.”
It praises the ways in which teachers motivate students and that the pupils are well-behaved: “behaviour during lessons is almost always good and has a positive impact on their learning.”
In its previous inspection the school had received a ‘satisfactory’ rating.
Weaknesses were cited in this report regarding teacher feedback on marked work, and that in some areas the teachers: “do not always make enough use of information about what students already know to move them on quickly with new learning.”
Kings Norton Girls’ School is an academy school with about 900 students. It specialises in languages.
