There are a series of fun children’s workshops taking place at Selly Manor during the summer holidays. They take place throughout August and are aimed at children aged from 5 – 11.
Each workshop runs at 10am and 1pm on the stated day, lasts for approximately an hour and a half and cost £3.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pirates – 13 August
Ahoy me hearties! Make a cut-throat cutlass, eye catching eye patch and parade around in your very own pirate hat.
Knight Training – 15 August
Construct a swashbuckling sword and shield, learn soldier’s drills, play games and handle real weapons from the museum’s collection.
Groovy Gardening – 20 August
Make a bird feeder and brilliant bug, decorate a pot, plant some seeds and explore the Selly Manor garden on our mini-beast hunt.
Jester Skills – 22 August
Learn juggling and diabolo skills and play traditional Tudor games. Plus make your own juggling balls and jester hat!
Accompanying adults receive free entrance to the workshop but an admission charge is applicable should adults wish to view the museum.
Selly Manor is on the No.11 bus route and just 10 minutes walk from Bournville railway station (map link).
