Bournville loses two trains an hour under Leaf Fall timetable

Passengers travelling to and from Bournville and Kings Norton station will see their rail services reduced as the autumn Leaf Fall timetable begins on October 19th.

Instead of six trains per hour to and from Birmingham New Street there will be only four once the new timetable starts.

Commuters travelling to Birmingham will find the 09 and 29 minutes past each hour services not operating from Bournville. This includes rush hour services.

Some services in the opposite direction from Birmingham New Street to our area will not stop at Bournville or Kings Norton but will carry on through to Longbridge after leaving Selly Oak. These are generally the 11 and 31 minutes past each hour services.

The timetable change runs from Monday 19 October to Saturday 12 December.

London Midland say that autumn represents a “challenging time” for them as they try to deal with the effects of leaf falls which cause slippery tracks and results in trains having to drive at slower speeds.
