BOURNVILLE will have no trains on Sundays running in either direction until 17th February. Due to engineering work south of Bournville it was originally planned to have services stop and start at the station but the timetable has now been amended and no services will run.
Services will be replaced with buses on the 13, 20, 27 January and 3 and 10 February. On the 6 January services did stop and start from Bournville but there were delays when points had to be changed manually for the turnaround at Bournville. London Midland have now changed the service from that originally published in early December.
The disruption comes after services were also disrupted on Saturday 12 January due to engineering works and services from Bournville were replaced by buses. Saturdays services should run normally from next week but passengers are advised to check for engineering news updates.
On the affected Sundays, passengers heading towards Birmingham will now have to catch a bus from Bournville and change to a train at Selly Oak and vice versa. The first bus leaves Bournville at 09:28 for Selly Oak and at every 30 minutes until 22:58. In the opposite direct the first bus towards Redditch is at 09:48.
The amended timetable is available for download from the London Midland website (PDF).
