Huxtable promoted to cabinet

Conservative Bournville Councillor Tim Huxtable has been appointed as cabinet member for transport and regeneration at Birmingham City Council. This follows a re-shuffle of cabinet posts following the recent local elections.

Cllr Huxtable has already shown his transport credentials by being the lead member of the West Midlands Integrated Transport, a post he will still have to hold as well being in cabinet. He has also held a number of related committee posts in the past:
Committee Membership 2009-2010:
Transportation and Street Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee
West Midlands Joint (Planning and Transportation) Sub Committee
West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (Lead Member)

Coun Huxtable was first elected in 2002 and is due for re-election next May. There’s a fuller profile of him here.

  1. may i first congratulate you on your new job.
now may i raise a problem with the drop kerb department.
i live at 147 hay green lane, bournville, birmingham b30 1rf.
    my mobile no: 07835464719.
back in feb this year, i had a man from drop kerb department come and measure up for a drop kerb outside my house. at the time he said looks all fine, there shouldn’t be a problem with the tree but as there is a tree 10ft away he has to contact the tree department.
since then i have had my drive put in weeks ago with full permission from bvt, my point is i feel three months of waiting and numerous phone calls to the drop kerb department is an appalling time to wait and no one seems to be doing anything about it.
all i need is a quote for the drop kerb and have the work done.
i look forward to hearing from you very soon.
    regards.
