LOCAL running club, Bournville Harriers, are looking for entries to their annual 10 kilometre race around the area. Their ‘Leafy 10K’ will be held on Sunday 7th October at 10am starting from Rowheath Pavilion.
Last year’s race saw over 160 runners participate. Birmingham Mail journalist Paul Bradley wrote a report about his experiences describing it as great preparation for the Birmingham Half Marathon which takes place two weeks later.
The race is a two lap multi-terrain race around the streets and parks of Bournville. The details are:
Start time: 7th October, 10am
Venue: Rowheath Pavilion Heath Road Bournville Birmingham B30 1HH (map)
- Toilets, showers, changing rooms, plentiful parking.
- 250 runners limit.
- Prizes in all age categories.
- Memento for all runners.
Closing date for postal/online entries – 22nd September or when the race is full. Entry available on the day if the race is not full.
Cost: in advance affiliated £7, unaffiliated £9. On the day affiliated £8, unaffiliated £10
