As usual there will be Christmas carols on Bournville Green on Wednesday 24th December from 6pm.
The annual gathering is organised by the Village Council. Residents can bring along a torch or lantern to add to the atmosphere.
Also this year there are carols in Cotteridge Park n Saturday 20th December at 5pm by the car park.
The organisers said: “After 17 years we thought we’d have a change – still some carols, still some music and even a hot drink and a mince pie – but just at the right time to get Christmas proper started. Wellies & torches essential.”
On Sunday 21st December at 6.30pm in St Francis of Assisi Church there will be the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols: a traditional service of readings and choral music and carols. The church will also hold a midnight mass at 11:15pm on the 24th.
