THERE’S a day of fun for all at Rowheath Pavilion on Friday 27th July to celebrate the opening of the 2012 Olympics. The venue will also be screening the opening ceremony itself and Bournville’s only public bar will be open from 4pm.

The organisers say:
“From 3pm we will have a range of games open for everyone to join in, adults and children! Games include egg and spoon race, relays, a tug of war round robin. Free entry for all games except tug of war (50p entry to fundraise for our youth activities).

“From 5.30pm we will have a BBQ available to buy as well as Pimms all day. Coverage of the Opening Ceremony will start in our main room at 7pm with the ceremony itself starting at 9pm. The bar will be open from 4pm so head on down and enjoy this memorable occasion with the rest of the community!”
